    FEMA opening new disaster recovery centers in New Mexico

    NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – FEMA said they are opening more disaster recovery centers to help those affected by flooding and the Ruidoso wildfires. A new disaster recovery center will open at the Angus Church of the Nazarene (103 Bonita Park Road) in Angus to help those affected by the South Fork and Salt Wildfires. A mobile disaster recovery center is also opening at the Aztec Fire Station (209 S. Oliver) in San Juan County to help those affected by flooding. That center will be open through July 27.

    Judge sets trial date for man accused of shooting during Española protest

    Residents and business owners in Lincoln, Otero, Rio Arriba, and San Juan Counties as well as the Mescalero Apache Reservation can visit either center to apply for FEMA assistance or learn about other resources. Both centers are open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
