The evening will also honor Jacqueline McLean of Le Roy Jr. Sr. High School (Rochester, NY) and Paul Fillingim of Ronald Reagan High School (San Antonio, TX) with the 2024 Inspiring Teacher Award, recognizing their exceptional guidance and encouragement of students who excelled at last year's Jimmy Awards.

This year’s ceremony will feature the 2024 Jimmy Awards Student Reporter Initiative, supported by Broadway News, welcoming Nicole Scimeca from Chicago and Richard “Ricky” Ragazzo from Houston. These aspiring journalists will provide social media coverage and conduct exclusive interviews with the Best Actor and Best Actress winners, offering fans an inside look at the final preparations and behind-the-scenes action.

The ceremony will stream live for free online via the Jimmy Awards Facebook and YouTube channels at 7:30 PM (Eastern) on June 24th, and will be available until June 27th.

The Jimmy Awards, officially known as the National High School Musical Theatre Awards®, celebrate outstanding student achievement in vocal, dance, and acting performance. The program impacts approximately 130,000 students nationwide, with this year’s event bringing over 100 nominees from across the country to make their Broadway debuts. The awards have been a catalyst for over $6,000,000 in educational scholarships since their inception.

Founded in 2009 by Nederlander Alliances LLC, Pittsburgh CLO, and Broadway Education Alliance, the NHSMTA aims to elevate musical theatre in schools, honor dedicated teachers, and inspire the next generation of performers and enthusiasts. To date, 67 alumni have performed on Broadway or on Tour.
