Billboard announced the addition of rising Texas-based star BigXthaPlug to the lineup for the Hip-Hop LIVE concert event, set to take place on September 6 at Xanadu in Brooklyn, NY. As Amazon Music’s next Breakthrough Artist, BigXthaPlug joins a roster of powerhouse performers, including headliner Teezo Touchdown and Florida’s own BossMan Dlow. The night will also feature a pre-show DJ set by the acclaimed NYC-native DJ Miss Milan.

Teezo Touchdown, known for his eclectic sound and genre-defying style, has quickly gained a massive following with support from artists like Drake, Travis Scott, and Tyler, The Creator. His debut album, How Do You Sleep At Night?, climbed to No. 3 on the Heatseekers Albums chart and No. 22 on the Alternative Albums chart, boasting over 96 million streams.

Joining the lineup is BossMan Dlow, a breakthrough Florida rapper who was recently named Billboard’s “Rookie of the Month” for June. His latest mixtape, Mr. Beat The Road, debuted at No. 20 on the Billboard 200, racking up over 37 million streams, and has amassed more than 515 million streams to date.

Affectionately known as “The Biggest Stepper,” BigXthaPlug has quickly become one of the hottest names in Southern rap. Hailing from Dallas, Texas, his debut album, Amar, debuted at No. 34 on Billboard’s Independent Albums Chart and spent 13 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Heatseekers Albums Chart. BigXthaPlug’s rapid rise has earned him praise from industry heavyweights like NLE Choppa, Bun B, and Erykah Badu.

The event promises an unforgettable experience, with Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Program spotlighting emerging artists like BigXthaPlug, offering them increased visibility through curated playlists, livestream performances, and more. The program is designed to champion artists early in their careers, providing a platform for long-term growth.

Accoding to a press release, State Farm will also be on-site, bringing the Good Neighbor Marketplace, which will feature local Black-owned small businesses and exclusive fan experiences. Meanwhile, Rémy Martin will serve as the exclusive cognac sponsor, offering signature cocktails and a curated bar experience.

In addition to the concert, Billboard will continue the celebration of boundary-pushing music with its annual R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players event on September 5th, followed by the R&B No. 1s party on Sunday, September 8th.
