    In Sweethearts, two college freshmen, played by Kiernan Shipka and Nico Hiraga, make a pact to break up with their high school sweethearts over Thanksgiving break. What seems like a simple plan turns into a night of wild misadventures in their hometown, putting their deep, codependent friendship to the ultimate test.

    Alongside Shipka and Hiraga, the film boasts an ensemble cast including Caleb Hearon, Tramell Tillman, Ava Demary, Charlie Hall, Joel Kim Booster, and Christine Taylor.

    Sweethearts marks the directorial debut of Dollface creator Jordan Weiss, who also co-wrote the film with Dan Brier. The film is produced by Picturestart’s Erik Feig and Jessica Switch, with executive producers including Julia Hammer, Samie Kim Falvey, Shayne Fiske Goldner, Jordan Weiss, and Dan Brier.

    The film comes from New Line Cinema and Picturestart, bringing a blend of quirky humor, heartfelt moments, and relatable experiences of growing up and transitioning from high school to college.
