Navy Football Player's Heartfelt Reaction When Learning Sister Won Gold Medal

The 2024 Paris Olympics are currently taking place, and one of the highlights of the Olympics is discovering the diverse stories of the athletes.
Several of these have been touching stories, such as Simone Biles' comeback, Katie Ledecky's dominance, and South Sudan's historic first Olympic men's basketball win despite the country not having an indoor court.
A heartwarming moment has gone viral here in the United States. Navy college football player Chreign LaFond discovered that his sister Thea had won a gold medal. In a tweet by the official Navy Football account, head coach Brian Newberry called LaFond over during practice to share the good news. LaFond's reaction was immediate; his head dropped as the team ran to congratulate him.
LaFond won the women's triple jump with a national record jump of 15.02m, earning Dominica's first Olympic medal. She made the winning jump in the third round, the only woman in the competition to reach the 15-metre mark.
Chreign is a junior defensive lineman for the Navy. Last season, he played in seven games and made a total of two tackles. While being called out during practice isn't always fun, it seemed worth it for him.
