June 26, 1949, in The Star: Dedication services of the new Noble Street Baptist Church, which as a congregation celebrates its 13th anniversary today, will be held this afternoon. Built of mountain rock, the new church building replaces the old one which burned about three years ago. The chapel will seat about 400. The Rev. Ralph L. Howe has been pastor of the church from its beginning; the new building has been in use almost a year, but formal dedication was put off until this time.

Toby Falk took all Crimestoppers calls. If he wasn’t in the office, his answering machine took them. But that arrangement caused problems, Falk said.
