Lancaster man charged with stalking, allegedly tried to steal arresting officer's gun
LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — A Lancaster County man is facing a slew of charges after allegedly trying to grab an officer's gun as he was being arrested. Howard Leroy Barron, 60, from Lancaster, has been charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, stalking, resisting arrest, simple assault, disorderly conduct, general impairment, DUI, harassment, reckless driving and obstructing highways.
Police searching for missing Lancaster County man, disappearance considered 'suspicious'
LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police are searching for a missing Lancaster County man whose disappearance has been described as "suspicious in nature." According to PSP, on July 3, the Lancaster Criminal Investigation Unit was contacted about Matthew Whisman, 25. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance are suspicious in nature, police said.
Man killed in ambush outside Harrisburg concert had been live streaming the event
The Dauphin County Coroner’s office on Friday released the name of a man killed in an apparent drive-by shooting in midtown early Friday. Azar Hughes, 20, of Steelton, had just left a concert at the Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center (HMAC) when a car drove by and fired at him about 1:30 a.m., according to security guards at HMAC. The concert was restricted to those ages 21 and over, but people under 21 were allowed in if they’re supervised by someone over 25, under HMAC’s rules. Hughes was with his cousin, a promoter of the event who is over 25, according to John Traynor, founder of HMAC.
