OMAHA, Neb. — With the city of Blair under a boil advisory after water tested positive for E. coli, Nebraska is monitoring lakes for the bacteria. The state's Department of Environment and Energy said 10 lakes had high levels of the bacteria during July 1 testing, including Fremont Lake No. 9, Louisville Lake No. 2, and site No. 11 at Lake Cunningham.

Bow Seniors to Face DCB for Mid Nebraska League Title
It is now official. Broken Bow will face Dannebrog Cairo Boelus for the American Legion Seniors Baseball Mid Nebraska League Title. Broken Bow clinched the Mid Nebraska League West division title back on June 27th but had to wait to see who their opponent would be for the league championship game scheduled for Monday (7/8). The Bow seniors will face DCB for the league championship. DCB clinched the east division title. The two will meet for the league championship Monday evening in Broken Bow at Paul Brown Field. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com. A live video stream of the game, accompanied by the radio call, will be available on the Sandhills Express Facebook page and You Tube channel.
