Semiconductor equipment company ASML will open big new Oregon warehouse next year
ASML, a Dutch company that makes some of the most advanced tools for manufacturing computer chips, will expand into a large new warehouse in North Plains next year. The 210,000-square-foot building will accommodate increased demand from local customers and larger manufacturing tools, according to the ASML. But the company says it doesn’t plan to add to the 800 people it already employs in Oregon.

First fire weather warning of the season issued for Wednesday
BOISE, Idaho — WHEN | 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 26: A Red Flag Warning (or Fire Weather Warning) has been issued for Wednesday for southeast Oregon and portions of west-central Idaho, including the Payette National Forest. Exact timing and placement of these storms will be difficult to pinpoint, so all residents and anyone recreating in eastern Oregon and SW Idaho should be on alert, take fire precautions and be ready to head indoors if thunder roars.
Oregon governor appoints new Columbia County Circuit Court Judge
A Columbia County Deputy District Attorney has been appointed as Columbia County’s newest Circuit Court Judge. Gov. Tina Kotek announced the appointment of Nickolas A. Brajcich to fill a vacancy created by outgoing Judge Cathleen Callahan, according to a press release sent Tuesday, June 25.
