ANTIGO — It was a beautiful day for softball, unfortunately we played in the dome due to wet snow covered fields.

Our bats were hot on Saturday and I hope to see it continue. We did not come out with a win, but we played hard and did well for our first outing. We have a young team with girls learning how to play new positions, so defensively we have a few things to work on.

Offensively it was great to see the girls hit the ball well and be aggressive at the plate, but we did have some base running errors that we will hopefully clean up.

Elcho vs Northern Pines (8-18 L)Sabrina Hatfield-Franske started on the mound, pitching 3 innings, 25 at bats, 7 hits, 10 walks, 9 runs, 9 earned runs, 1 hit batter. Ellee Joerns stepped in for the last two innings, 17 at bats, 1 hit, 10 walks, 9 runs, 8 earned runs, 1 hit batter.

    Batting — Ellee Joerns 2 for 3, 1 RBI; Kayla Siemers 1 for 4, 1 stolen base; Jenna Siemers 1 for 3, 2 RBIs; Hannah Schmidt 2 for 3, 1 RBI; Payton Malitz 2 for 3, 2 doubles, 1 RBI; Malorie Malitz 2 for 3, 1 RBI, Luci Pukall 1 for 3.

Elcho vs Butternut (10-12 L)Jenna Siemers pitched 6 innings (completed game based on 1:45 time), 34 at bats, 4 hits, 8 walks, 8 strikeouts, 12 runs, 5 earned runs, 1 hit batter.

    Batting — Jenna Siemers 4 for 4, 3 doubles, 1 RBI, Hannah Schmidt 3 for 4, 2 RBI, Payton Malitz 2 for 4, 1 stolen base, 1 RBI, Malorie Malitz 1 for 4, Sabrina Hatfield-Franske 1 for 4.
