The Apache Junction Mounted Rangers has newly elected officers for the 2024-2026 term.

The Apache Junction Mounted Rangers are a group of volunteer peacekeepers who are committed to bringing joy to children and serving the community. Each officer has a specific role outlined in the organization’s by-laws, according to a release.

“While we are located in the stunning Superstition Mountains in Apache Junction, our volunteers come from surrounding areas as well. Our mission is to donate the funds raised to various organizations that support youth-related activities,” it states.

The organization has been active since 1995.

The summer is a quieter time for the organization, but activities pick up again in September and continue almost nonstop until Memorial Day.

“Even during the summer, we continue to recruit Apache Junction Mounted volunteers year-round. This year, we will be present at the Fourth of July fireworks in Apache Junction for the first time, and we hope you can join us at the fun event at Desert Shadows Park that evening,” the release states.

Meetings will commence at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at the Apache Junction Multi-generational Center, 1035 N. Idaho Road in Apache Junction. If you are interested or know someone who might be, go to www.ajmountedrangers.org .
