Barnes & Noble move date set in Eatontown; new poke restaurant to open at Freehold mall

Barnes & Noble has set the moving date for its store at Monmouth Mall in Eatontown.

The current store, located at one of the mall's corners, will move to a space previously occupied by Firebirds Wood Fired Grill and La Maison Fine Furniture. Whole Foods Market will take over Barnes & Noble's storefront.

In a post on Instagram, Barnes & Noble said the store will close on Oct. 30 and open in its new location three weeks later on Nov. 20.

"It has been our honor and privilege to be your bookseller here at the Monmouth Mall for the last 15 years, and we look forward to continuing the tradition in our beautiful new Barnes & Noble," the store said in the post. "The new bookstore will feature our updated store design and will offer all of the things you love — books, toys, games, gifts, vinyl and more, including a B&N Cafe."

More changes are underway at Freehold Raceway Mall .

Abercrombie and Fitch has renovated its store to its newest concept with an open layout and a brighter atmosphere. The store now features a full side-by-side Abercromble & Fitch experience with an expanded merchandise assortment.

Poke Island Grille is getting ready to open in the food court between Showcase and Subway. It features poke bowls made with fresh seafood, vegetables, and other high-quality ingredients, bringing the taste of the ocean to every dish.
