    VOTE: Who is Shore football's Larson Ford Player of the Week for Week 0?

    There were many outstanding performances by Shore Conference football players last weekend - the opening week of the season.

    Now, is your chance to vote for the Larson Ford Player of the Week from Week 0. The poll is open until Friday 6 p.m.

    Here is a look at the candidates followed by the poll.

    Christian LaFonte (Marlboro):

    A senior running back, LaFonte ran for 214 yards and three TDs on 22 carries in the Mustangs’ 34-0 win over Colts Neck

    Jack Cannon (Holmdel):

    Cnnon, a junior quarterback, ran for 174 yards and three TDs, threw for 107 yards and got off a key 59-yard punt in the Hornets’ 38-32 win over Long Branch.

    Quinton Fisher (Long Branch):

    Fisher ran for 171 yards and two TDs and threw for 187 yards and two scores in the Green Wave’s 38-32 defeat to Holmdel.

    Jack Marotta (Brick Memorial):

    Marotta’s 32-yard field goal with 6:43 remaining gave the Mustangs a 23-20 win over Allentown.

    Jonah Glenn (Jackson Memorial):

    A junior running back, Glenn ran for 201 yards and a TD on 22 carries in the Jaguars’ 17-7 win over North Brunswick.

    Dylan Reitemeyer (Point Pleasant Borough):

    Reitemeyer, a senior running back, ran for 108 yards and two TDs on just eight carries in the Panthers’ 49-7 rout over Hamilton East.

    T.J. Valerio (Toms River North):

    A senior quarterback, Valerio threw for 284 yards and three TDs and ran for 101 yards and a score in the Mariners’ impressive 31-2 win over Dowingtown (Pa.).

    Nick Cardone (Freehold Township):

    Cardone, a senior quarterback, threw for 265 yards and four TDs and ran for 43 yards in the Patriots’ 35-14 win over Toms River South.

    Ja’mir Irby (Freehold Borough):

    A senior linebacker, Irby was in on eight tackles, four of which were for a loss, in the Colonials’ 28-0 win over New Brunswick.

    Danny Farina (Ocean):

    Farina, a senior outside linebacker/defensive end, had five tackles and a sack in the Spartans’ 10-6 win over Red Bank Regional.

    Royalty Riley (Central):

    Riley, a senior defensive back/wide receiver, had two interceptions and five receptions for 74 yards and two TDs in the Golden Eagles’ 20-0 win over Hightstown.

    Justin Davis (Wall):

    A junior linebacker, Davis had a sack, three tackles for a loss and was in on eight tackles in the Crimson Knights’ 34-7 win over Matawan.

    Matt Antonucci (Manasquan):

    A junior quarterback, Antonucci accounted for a TD three different ways in Manasquan’s 33-0 win over Neptune. He ran for a TD, threw for a TD and had a TD reception.

    Abdul Turay (St. John Vianney):

    Turay, a sophomore running back, ran for 148 yards and two TDs on 13 carries and returned a kickoff for a TD in the Lancers’ 34-0 win over Carteret.

    Rahmel Anderson (Lakewood):

    A senior quarterback, Anderson, who ran for a Shore Conference-leading 2,182 yards last season, ran for 253 yards and three TDs in the Piners’ 22-20 win over Ewing.

    James Lynch (Toms River East):

    Lynch, a senior defensive lineman, had a tackle for a safety and 10 tackles in all in the Raiders’ 12-7 win over Barnegat.

    Cole Toddings (Barnegat):

    A senior linebacker, Toddings had two sacks, five tackles for a loss and 15 tackles total in the Bengals’ 12-7 defeat to Toms River East.

    Mason Ciccariello (Jackson Liberty):

    Ciccariello, a junior quarterback, threw for 153 yards and a TD and ran for 50 yards and a score in the Lions’ 34-0 win over Hamilton West.

    Dante Mortellite (Manchester);

    Mortellite, a senior linebacker, had 13 tackles in the Hawks’ 26-21 win over West Deptford.

    Ronnie Thorn (Point Pleasant Beach): A senior defensive lineman, Thorn had nine tackles, four of which were for a loss, in the Garnet Gulls’ 28-0 win over South River.
