Celebrate National Coffee Day with free coffee, discounts at the Shore

If coffee is the first thing you think of when you open your eyes each morning, then Sunday, Sept. 29, is the day for you.

It's National Coffee Day, and coffee shops and cafes in Monmouth and Ocean counties are celebrating with freebies, deals and specials. From drip coffee to lattes, here's where to go (we'll be adding to this list so check back for updates).

Brew Coffee Bar, Matawan: free coffee with the purchase of a pastry

The Caffeine Haven, Howell: 10% off all coffees

Coffee Coral, Red Bank: $3 small pumpkin spice lattes, hot or iced, on Sunday, Sept. 29. All weekend, the coffee shop is offering a sale on its branded merchandise.

Coffee Surf Co., Belmar: free hot coffee

Cool Beans Coffee House, Toms River: three free Cool Beans K-cups with the purchase of a large coffee (while supplies last)

Duck Donuts, Middletown: free medium hot coffee or cold brew with any purchase

Dunkin': Dunkin' Rewards members receive a free medium hot or iced coffee with purchase through the app.

Fair Mountain Coffee Roasters, Atlantic Highlands: The coffee shop is releasing a freshly roasted Honduran honey coffee on Sunday, Sept. 29, and free samples of the shop's most popular drip coffee, Greg's Blend, will be available.

Jive's Cafe, Howell: half-priced iced lattes to go and a free pumpkin muffin with every purchase

Lava Java House, Lavallette: free small coffee and half-price Lava Java signature latte

The Plant Lady's House, Ocean Township: The coffee shop is normally closed Sundays, but will be open and serving $1 drip coffees and $3 for all other drinks.

The Revolutionary Lounge, Toms River: free small house coffees; buy one, get one free specialty coffees; 20% off bagged coffee

Riposo Coffee Roasters, Rumson: drink specials; the return of summer drink specials, and a customer poll to determine the week's specials

Shore Pour, Sea Girt: free small drip coffee

Spire Coffeehouse, Toms River: 50% off drip coffee and cold brew

Sweetwaters Coffee and Tea, Toms River: free upsizes on house blends

Turning Point, multiple locations: free regular coffee for members of Turning Point's Perk loyalty program, available via coupon in the restaurant's app
