Monmouth County DWI Task Force reveals location of this weekend’s checkpoint

MARLBORO - A checkpoint to catch drunk drivers will be set up this weekend on Route 9 in the township, according to the Monmouth County DWI Task Force.

Police will divert northbound traffic into the Crunch Fitness parking lot from 9 p.m. Friday to 1 a.m. Saturday, said Allenhurst Police Chief Michael Schneider, who is the task force coordinator.

All motorists will be screened for their sobriety, Schneider said.

Officers from the Marlboro Police Department will be working alongside other law enforcement officers on the task force during the four-hour operation, he said.

This is the task force’s first sobriety checkpoint since the Labor Day weekend.
