WrestlePro bringing Luke Hawx, other stars to Rahway for big show

Luke Hawx doesn't wrestle as much as he used to.

It's not because he doesn't want to, and it's not because he's not in high demand. It's because his schedule is quite full.

Hawx, a veteran professional wrestler, has appeared for just about every major promotion out there, and he runs his own successful company in New Orleans, WildKat Sports.

Wrestling was Hawx's bread and butter, and he still loves to perform. But when he's not beating people up, he's usually acting like he's beating people up.

He has transitioned into acting, stunt work and stunt coordinating. He's parlayed his skills as a wrestler to nail roles in shows like "Young Rock" where he played "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Heels, where he not only starred as a character, he was the wrestling coordinator for the show, which is now streaming on Netflix.

He'll also star in the new Francis Ford Coppola movie Megalopolis which comes out this weekend.

Since his calendar is full with acting, wrestling dates are becoming fewer and fewer. Saturday is a great opportunity for New Jersey wrestling fans to see the Southern Stomper back in the ring when he competes for WrestlePro.

Hawx is one of many stars who will compete Sept. 28 at Rahway Recreation Center. He'll meet WrestlePro Silver Champion Shawn Donavan at "All Hall the Maharaja."

The show is named after Jinder Mahal, former WWE champion who will take on CPA for the WrestlePro Gold Championship.

Other matches include Dan Maff taking on Elijah, the former WWE Elias, Fuego Del Sol vs. Ichiban, a tag team match featuring Devastation Inc. vs. the Outrunners, the Iron Savages vs. Dark STG and Dark Fallah, and a women's championship match featuring Serena Deeb vs. Lady Frost vs. Lena Kross.

Also appearing are GKM, TJ Crowford, Justin Corinio, Colton Charles, KC Navarro and Cheeseburger.

WrestlePro has been around for nearly a decade and have been running shows throughout New Jersey. The shows combine a nice mix of stars from today and young, up and coming wrestlers who are set to break out.

And prior to the show, all of the stars of WrestlePro will be taking part in a meet and greet with fans.

Tickets are available now and will be sold at the door.
