On 'Jersey Shore,' Angelina and Vinny 2.0 burner account drama frays relationship

Call it burner gate. A fight between Angelina Pivarnick and boyfriend Vinny "2.0" Tortorello over his attentiveness to her as she was experiencing pain after root canal work caused Angelina to miss the roomies’ trip to the Super Bowl on the Thursday, Sept. 26, episode of MTV's “Jersey Shore Family Vacation.”

Vinny 2.0 was upset that Angelina used a burner account on social media to troll.

“Two years he's been with her,” wrote Angelina on her burner account in January. “He is clearly with her for the show. Wake up ppl.”

That was a bit extreme, even by Angelina's standards.

“I kind of freaked out because Vin left for four hours,” Angelina said. “I was like, 'Where is Vin? Where is Vin?' He was at the gym and he was getting a manicure and a pedicure at the Freehold mall. I let it get the best of me and I should have never went on social media.”

Vinny 2.0 was shown at a gym across Route 9 from the Freehold Raceway Mall on the episode.

“I'm sorry for responding to it and clapping back” Vinny 2.0 said. “I want to be there for you and I want to love you and I know deep down somewhere, under all this (blank) you love me, too. I hope something stupid like this doesn't happen again.”

Vinny 2.0 disappearing atter the root canal apparently triggered Angelina, whose dad left her when she was a child. Dad later appeared on the show after a genealogist found him.

“When I want you to be here it's an abandonment issue I have,” Angelina said. “So when somebody doesn't come home, that's big thing for me.”

“I would never abandon you,” said Vinny from across the kitchen.

Angelina is moving alone to a townhouse in Marlboro, she said earlier in the episode.

The brush up with Vinny 2.0 caused Angelina to miss the roomies trip to Las Vegas, where they're going to watch  DJ Pauly DelVecchio play in the Celebrity Flag Football Challenge, which took place a few days before the 2024 Super Bowl. The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers played Feb. 11 in the “big game.”

“Jersey Shore” was not allowed to refer to it as the “Super Bowl” on the episode due to copyright issues.

Pauly was concerned the roomies would wreck his home, where he lives with Nikki Hall, so he rented house in Las Vegas and filled it up with “Jersey Shore” memorabilia and presented it as his actual home.

“I did not know Pauly liked us this much,” said Jenni “JWoww” Farley. “I don't know what to do.”

Pauly D invited Ronnie Ortiz-Magro to the games, but he begged off as Lamar Odom, ex-NBA player and former husband of Khloe Kardashian, asked him to speak at his new recovery center in Los Angeles.

Also on the show, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi has decided to take the plunge and try to find her birth parents. Nicole is a native of Chile but was raised in Marlboro, New York, by her adopted parents.

She's ready to try even if Angelina's reunion with her birth father was ill-fated. Dad wanted some cash and showbiz perks from Angelina, as shown on the show.

“I was never curious about who my birth parents were,” said Nicole to Angelina. “I know obviously they wanted to give me a good life, but I love my (adopted) parents so much that I was content and everything. But now seeing you do it and you have a new sister...”

“Everybody in life deserves to know where they come from,” Angelina said.

Vinny Guadagnino won the meatball competition at Nicole's house in Florham Park to begin the show. That fact that his mom made them was an open secret.

“This is amazing,” Vinny said. “I didn't win the Mirror Ball on 'Dancing with the Stars,' but I did win the Meatball Award on 'Jersey Shore.' ”
