Brick man dies in motorcycle crash on Route 72

WOODLAND - A Brick motorcyclist died Thursday after an accident on Route 72, according to the New Jersey State Police.

Christopher Elk, 46, sustained fatal injuries after being ejected from his motorcycle, police said.

At 6:12 p.m., troopers responded to a motor vehicle crash on Route 72 east, milepost 9.4, in Woodland Township in Burlington County, state police said. Elk’s Suzuki motorcycle was traveling east when it veered to the right off the road and hit a tree.

As a result, Elk was fatally injured, police said. The crash remains under investigation.
