Not all Halloween celebrations require frightful events. Some can be engaging without the jump scares.

And at Halloween House at the Freehold Raceway Mall, visitors of all ages can enjoy the festivities of the spooky season in a fun and entertaining way.

"Halloween House Freehold is a completely immersive, one of a kind Halloween experience where you are transported to an all Halloween world," according to the Halloween House website.

The indoor facility offers activity and task-filled rooms such as: Spiderweb Light Tunnel, Beetlejuice Illusion Room, Virtual Reality, Interactive Trivia, Glow in the Dark Room, Fright Show, the Nightmare Before Christmas-inspired room, and one-of-a-kind Trick or Treat Room and a Graveyard Movie Theater.

There are no paid actors to scare you and no gore. Instead visitors get to enjoy multiple Halloween themed rooms.

"Our vision was to create an immersive, fun, and highly visual Halloween experience that had never been done before. Thousands of hours have gone into each room; from the layout to the lighting to the tiniest details. We wanted to create an attraction that people of all ages could attend without being scared," said Michael Dessart, CEO of Halloween House.

Families ready to start a fun family Halloween traditon can purchase tickets online . Hours of operation are: 5 to 8 p.m. Monday to Thursday; 5 to 9 p.m. Friday; 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
