Back to School Bash is ‘proof that our community is supportive of one another’

Waiting in a line for free backpacks and school supplies, a local mom, Jessica Lassiter, said that the Back to School Bash event helps a lot – the event is a resource fair created to help families with school-age students offset the costs associated with returning to school.

“We have one person that’s working right now, so we are a one-income family of a lot of kids,” Lassiter said.
