The Sutter County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a revenue sharing agreement with Yuba City, which could allocate a portion of the city’s state sales tax revenue to the county, if approved by voters in November.

After several months of exploration, the Yuba City City Council will place Measure D on the Nov. 5 ballot, a 1% general sales tax measure which officials have said will generate around $17.5 million per year if approved by voters. City leaders have been adamant that a revenue measure is necessary to meet the needs of a growing population, with road repair and public safety being top priorities.
