The performances this Friday and Saturday at the Rogers-Evans Performing Arts Center at Granite Hills High follows showings by the theater group last weekend.

Theater goer Alex Drew said the play is well worth seeing, the costumes are outstanding, and the actors did a fabulous job, especially Kyra Chae who played the role of Mary Poppins.

Chae took to Facebook to share her long standing love for the show and her deeply held admiration for actress Julie Andrews, who played Mary Poppins in the 1964 Disney film.

“Getting to play the role of Mary is a dream come true on its own,” Chae said. “Add to that getting to play with this incredible team of cast and crew — It’s more than I could have ever wished for.”

Showtimes for Mary Poppins are at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 19, and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 20 at Granite Hills High School, 22900 Esaws Road in Apple Valley.
