    31st annual "Master Gardener" plant sale starts Friday in Kennewick

    KENNEWICK, Wash. --- Are you in need of a unique gift for Mother's Day, which is on Sunday May 12, 2024? You are in luck!

    The 31st Annual Master Gardener Foundation of Benton-Franklin County Plant Sale starts this Friday, in Kennewick.

    Organizers told Apple Valley News Now that there will be a great selection of vegetables, annuals, perennials, herbs, succulents, raspberries, roses, Japanese Maples, houseplants and garden art.

    "The weather is great, number one, you can just about grow anything here. And I think there's a lot of people that are passionate about sustainability and taking care of the environment. There's a lot of people out there that love to garden and it's growing every year because of the sustainability issues," said Susan Inlow-Romine, one of the organizers of this year's event.

    The sale starts this coming Friday May 10th, 2024, from 9a.m. to 4p.m. If you can't make it Friday, you can check things out on Saturday, as well from 9a.m. to 2p.m. at Highlands Grange Park Outdoor Roller Rink.

    Admission is FREE!
