    Quiet Evening Expected with Cloud Cover and Isolated Thunderstorm Chance in Oregon Mountains

    Tonight:

    • Expect a quiet evening with some mid to upper-level cloud cover spreading across the region.

    • There's a small chance (10-15%) of very isolated thunderstorms, mainly in central Oregon and the eastern mountains. Winds will be breezy in some areas.

    • Overnight lows in the 60s.

    Friday:

    • An upper-level trough will slowly move inland, increasing moisture and instability.

    • Expect a better chance (15-25%) of isolated thunderstorms, especially in central Oregon, the eastern mountains, and along the Washington Cascade crest.

    • Temperatures will be slightly cooler, with winds shifting to the west to northwest in the afternoon.

    Saturday:

    • Thunderstorm and shower chances will continue, particularly in the eastern mountains and along the east slopes of the Washington Cascades.

    • Temperatures will drop slightly as the trough moves inland, and winds will continue to shift to the west to northwest.

    Sunday through Wednesday:

    • Sunday: The weather will be dry with a westerly flow. Temperatures will be a bit cooler, with lower to mid-90s in the Columbia Basin and 80s elsewhere. Winds will be 10-15 mph through the Cascade gaps in the afternoon.

    Monday: A deeper trough near the coast will bring stronger winds, with west-northwest winds at 15-25 mph through the Cascade gaps and 10-20 mph in the Columbia Basin and central Oregon. Temperatures will drop to the upper 70s and 80s, with an 80% chance of the Tri-Cities reaching 90.

    • Tuesday: Similar to Monday, with another slight drop in temperatures. No showers expected.

    • Wednesday: A weak system will bring slightly warmer temperatures, back to the 80s in most areas and upper 70s in the mountains. Winds will continue at 10-20 mph in the afternoon.
