To night : Expect some clouds building up over the Blue Mountains this afternoon, with a small chance (5-10%) of showers or thunderstorms developing. Winds will be gusty to breezy in many areas through the evening. Overnight lows in the low to mid and upper 50s.

Tuesday: A weather system (trough) will move through, bringing a better chance (20-30%) of showers and thunderstorms, especially in Wallowa County, Oregon. Some areas might see a bit of rain (up to 0.25 inches), but lightning could still cause fire concerns. Temperatures will drop 5-10 degrees below normal. Morning smoke and haze will move out later in the day. Highs in the low to mid 80s.

Wednesday: Cooler and drier conditions will settle in, making for a more stable day. Sunshine with highs in the 80s.

Wednesday Night through Monday:

• Wednesday Night: Showers could start in central Oregon overnight, with a slight chance (5-15%) of a thunderstorm. Lows in the 50s.

• Thursday: Expect more showers and a better chance (up to 40%) of thunderstorms in central and eastern Oregon. Highs in the 80s.

• Isolated thunderstorms could pop up, but conditions will start to dry out as we head into the weekend. Lows in the 50s and highs staying in the 70s and 80s .

Weekend into Monday: Drier weather returns, with a small chance (5-15%) of activity near the Cascades. Temperatures will generally stay below normal.
