    T onight :
A weather system is moving through the region, bringing some clouds to the northeast Blue Mountains. There could be a few isolated showers or thunderstorms, mainly in Wallowa County, but any activity will calm down by evening, leading to dry conditions overnight and into Wednesday. More smoke and haze will move back into the region as the breezy winds recede tonight. Lows in the 50s.

    Wednesday:
A new low-pressure system is developing offshore in the Pacific and is expected to move onshore by Wednesday afternoon. This will bring the potential for showers and thunderstorms, particularly in central Oregon from Wednesday night through Thursday morning. Some areas may see lightning, but not much rain is expected, so fire weather watches have been issued for parts of Oregon.

    Thursday:
The low-pressure system will bring another round of showers and thunderstorms, especially in the Blue Mountains and Cascades. These storms will likely move slowly and have a better chance of producing some rain, so no additional fire weather watches are in place for Thursday. The system will start to move out of the area by Friday morning, with a slight chance of lingering showers.

    Friday through Monday:
Looking ahead to the weekend, there's some uncertainty in the forecast. A large low-pressure system is expected to develop off the Pacific Northwest coast. This could either bring warm, dry weather or a cooler, more showery pattern with the possibility of thunderstorms. We'll keep an eye on it as the weekend approaches.

Overall, expect a mix of showers and thunderstorms through Thursday, with some uncertainty in the weather heading into the weekend.
