    Gusty Winds, Cooler Temperatures Expected Tomorrow with Low Thunderstorm Chances

    Tonight : A weather system is moving into the Washington Cascades, which could bring a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon, especially in the Kittitas and Yakima valleys. However, the risk is low due to limited instability. Any storms should clear out by tonight, with skies clearing afterward. Lows in the low to mid and upper 50s.

    Wednesday : Low chances of thunderstorms remain . The day will start clear, with clouds building over the Blues by midday. Winds will stay gusty at times, around 15-25 mph. Temperatures will be cooler than usual, 5-10 degrees below average.

    Thursday : A weather system offshore will bring a slight chance of thunderstorms, but again, the risk is low. Winds will pick up, especially near the Cascade Gaps, with gusts reaching 20-30 mph. Temperatures will stay cool.

    Friday through Tuesday:

    • Friday & Saturday : Expect cooler, showery weather, with a slight chance of thunderstorms. The showers will be scattered, with central Oregon seeing up to a quarter-inch of rain, while most other areas get less. Temperatures will drop further, with highs in the upper 60s to lower 80s.

    • Sunday : The weather will start to calm down as the showers move out. Temperatures will warm slightly, but still stay below normal. Winds will be lighter.

    • Monday & Tuesday : Dry and warmer weather will return, with highs reaching the mid-70s to mid-80s. No significant precipitation is expected during this time.
