    Tonight: Expect hot and dry weather to continue due to a high-pressure system over the region. However, smoke from nearby fires has spread across the area, causing hazy skies. This smoke is slightly cooling things down by a couple of degrees. Quiet Night with lows in the 50s and 60s

    Friday: The high pressure will keep the heat going, with heat advisories in place. A weak weather disturbance from northern California is moving towards southwest Oregon, which could bring some isolated thunderstorms to southern and central Oregon by the late afternoon and evening. Extreme fire danger this weekend.... don't be the spark! Overall hot and dry for most of the region into the weekend.

    Saturday and Sunday: More isolated thunderstorms are expected in central Oregon on Saturday afternoon, spreading northeast into NE Oregon overnight and lingering into Sunday. Temperatures will cool slightly on Sunday but will still be warmer than usual.

    Next Week: Monday through Thursday

    A weak ridge will move through early in the week, with temperatures starting to drop on Tuesday, bringing cooler weather. Breezy winds are expected, especially near the Cascade Gaps. There’s a chance of showers on Tuesday night in the Cascades.

    Midweek: The main concern will be showers and isolated thunderstorms, especially in the eastern Blue Mountains. There’s some uncertainty about the exact timing, but cooler temperatures and potential thunderstorms are possible.
