A Medford roofing contractor has been fined a hefty $103,438 after Oregon OSHA found it repeatedly put its workers dangerously close to the edge. The Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Division determined that JAM Construction Inc. failed to adequately protect its employees from fall hazards during an inspection at a Central Point job site. Workers there were at risk of tumbling from heights up to 13 feet, violating safety regulations for which the company is now paying a steep price, as per the Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services.

ROSEBURG POLICE DEPARTMENT – MISSING PERSON CASE
The Roseburg Police Department is investigating a missing person case. Information on RPD’s Facebook page said that 70-year-old Mark Hanson of Azalea was last seen after being discharged from CHI Mercy Medical Center at around 4:00 p.m. on August 11th. Neither family nor neighbors have heard from Hanson since. He is reported to suffer from late-stage Alzheimer’s and anxiety. It is believed that he does not have his medication with him. Hanson does not have a vehicle.
