Metro hospitals reports multiple patients have suffered fireworks-related injuries
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - With the celebration of Independence Day unfortunately comes the risk of injuries related to fireworks. Since Monday, Children’s Mercy Hospital has reported that its healthcare workers have treated three such injuries, all to teens. Hospital administration described the injuries as two hand injuries and one eye injury.
Tracking severe storms possible tonight
TONIGHT: Thursday is an ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day for potential severe storms this evening. The first of these storms arrives at 9-10 p.m. for Sedalia, Warsaw, and the Lake area. Storms will then track east to I-44 around midnight, with storms heading out late overnight. Jefferson City and places northward have a lower chance of storms and better conditions to get out for fireworks.
