The Post-Crescent has a new Buzz reporter

As a resident of Appleton for the past twelve years, and previously a California native, I’ve grown to fall in love with the Fox Cities and all it has to offer.

One thing I love most about the Fox Cities is the variety of businesses that have opened and flourished since my arrival, which is why I’m beyond thrilled to be taking over as The Buzz reporter. I’m looking forward to getting to know the business owners of the Fox Cities, their stories, and learn more about the restaurants, shops and venues that make these communities such a great place to live.

For the past two decades, The Buzz has brought a variety of local business coverage to its readers, sharing business openings, closings, expansions and more. It’s played a vital role in sharing the stories of business owners, and keeping readers informed about what’s going on in the Fox Cities.

As The Buzz, I hope to continue to deliver exciting and informative content. I’ll also be taking over The Buzz newsletter, a bi-weekly email newsletter that’ll keep you informed on all recent Buzz content. You can subscribe to the newsletter here , or sign up on The Post-Crescent’s website.

As a recent graduate of University of Wisconsin-Stout, I was a writer and Chief Copyeditor for the University newspaper, Stoutonia . During this time, I also worked as a journalist for the Harvey Hall News Service writing about the significant happenings in the area. I spent two years getting to know Dunn County, having the opportunity to develop my reporting skills and see the importance of local news and community involvement. I grew to love providing not only local news but giving a voice to community members.

I’m looking forward to hearing from our Buzz readers, and I encourage you to continue sending your tips, ideas, and questions! I can be reached at fhuey@gannett.com or 920-515-2729.

The previous Buss reporter, Alexandria Bursiek Kloehn is now a local business and features editor for The Post-Crescent and Green Bay Press-Gazette. In the interim, regional food and drink reporter Jelissa Burns was writing for The Buzz, and may occasionally continue writing Buzz stories to help readers stay informed in the future. Her main focus will now be on all things food and drink, and you can email her at jburns1@gannett.com with any questions, tips, or ideas.

If you’re interested in keeping up with all up-and-coming Buzz stories, I’d recommend purchasing a digital subscription to The Post-Crescent, which gives you full access to our online content. Not only will this give you the inside scoop, but you’ll also be supporting local journalism and allowing reporters, like me and the rest of us here at The Post-Crescent, to continue to provide you with great, informative content.

Faith Huey is a business reporter for the Appleton Post-Crescent. You can reach her at fhuey@gannett.com or view her Instagram profile at @Faith.Huey .
