APPLETON - A new restaurant will be moving into the former FOME Food & Company building at 2825 N. Ballard Rd. in Appleton.

On April 25, the owner of Mai's Deli , Mai Vang, purchased the building for $505,000, according to the Wisconsin Department of Revenue . There is currently a sign outside of the property stating My My Thai Street Food will be moving in soon.

Lor Lee, Vang's son and the owner of Ototo , 205 N. Richmond St., will be overseeing the new restaurant. It is unclear when the restaurant is expected to open.

FOME closed last July after less than a year of being open. Before it was sold, former-owner Nea Hahn used the space as a kitchen to make lunch and snack options for her other business, Whisk and Arrow , 1915 N. Richmond St.

Lee did not respond to The Post-Crescent's requests for comment.
