Appomattox 76 gas station offers 76 cent gallon for customer appreciation event

APPOMATTOX, Va. ( WFXR )– An Appomattox 76 gas station offered customers with a large cut on their regular gas prices in honor of their 5th annual customer appreciation event on Saturday, July 6.

During the event, customers lined up around the gas station as every gallon of regular gasoline was just 76 cents from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. With the date and the gas station matching on 7/6, the gas station does this event every year.

The CEO of HEAS Energy, Inc., and local fuel wholesaler Shiv Patel says he and the gas station intend to keep the tradition.

“This is our fifth time doing it,” said Patel to WFXR News. “It’s been a pretty smooth day and we’ve served a lot of gasoline to a lot of customers today for 76 cents.”

Patel adds that they also donated $10,000 to Mustaches for Kids in Lynchburg, a local group that fundraiser for community charities.
