Wesley's Boobie Trap: Last Call Over for Infamous Landmark in Alabama

After decades of serving gallons of liquor and showcasing some of the finest dancing girls that rural north Alabama could offer, this well known landmark has closed it's doors forever. That is, unless the new property owner decides to carry on the legacy....and what a legacy this place holds. Regardless of the future, Wesley's Boobie Trap is destined to go down in history as possibly the most infamous bar in north Alabama. As of now, the last call is over.

If you've ever lived in the Birmingham or Jasper area, or simply traveled on Hwy. 78 between those two cities, you've may have noticed a roadside bar named Wesley's Boobie Trap in the Dora or Sumiton area. In case you're not familiar with the area and haven't gathered from the name, this lowkey block building was one of those places that sophisticated persons might call a "gentleman's club." But, who are we kidding? Very few "gentlemen" entered this place - and if they did, they probably lost their manners before the night was over.

What began as a well deserved vacation announcement on August 12, 2024, turned into a permanent closing for what a few choice locals called the "Best little boobie bar this side of Birmingham." On September 22, Wesley's Boobie Trap announced on their official Facebook page that after 30 years in business, the establishment was permanently closed and the property was for sale.

Soon afterward, on October 24, it was announced that the property was sold.

In case you never had the chance to darken the door of this fine establishment, imagine loud music, a slightly sticky floor, black lights and beer signs, and of course, the reason everyone came to Wesley's: lots of boobies, as a couple of local gals bumped and grinded around a center stage brass pole. The last lineup of dancers listed on their Facebook page back in April included names like Coco, Velvet, and Spicy.

So, what does the future hold for the property formerly known as Wesley's Boobie Trap? We're not sure. Of course, there's always the chance the new owner will carry on the legacy. They may even keep Wesley's motto: "Life's a little less sh*tty, when you get to see a t*tty."
