Slidell Police officers save life during traffic stop
Earlier this week, Slidell Police officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing it had several equipment violations and that it was driving in a manner consistent with impairment. As officers spoke to the vehicle's operator, it was immediately evident that the operator was impaired. During the initial stages of the investigation, it appeared that the driver of the vehicle was the only occupant - that was until officers located a male subject "slumped over" in the rear seat, barely clinging to life.

When 2024 South Lafourche High School graduate, Evan Louviere, received the American Legion Medal at the recent commencement, the Louviere family's proud tradition continued.
