BestOfSanPatricio.com contest Begins March 1

The 2024 Best of San Patricio County contest, the fourth annual reader survey, is about to to begin at BestOfSanPatricio. com.

The annual community contest, sponsored each year by The News of San Patricio, and now this year including The Aransas Pass Progress and Ingleside Index, will soon be underway, and we hope the community is ready to spread the word about their favorite business.

Each year, you the readers have the chance to let the community know where the best hot spots are. Whether it’s the best eatery, best lawyer, best auto dealership or the best place to unwind with a cool beverage, or something else in between.

The contest will launch March 1 with the opening nomination stage. Through March 22, voters will be able to nominate their favorite individuals and businesses across 10 categories: auto, financial and insurance, food/drink/entertainment, home repair and services, lawyers, medical and wellness, real estate and rentals, shopping and services, pets and livestock, and educational facilities.

They can submit nominations in any category of their choosing and can submit those nominations once per day.

A single nomination does not guarantee a spot in the voting phase.

Upon the conclusion of the nomination phase, the top five nominees with the most nominations in each category will advance to the voting phase of the contest, so voters are encouraged to submit nominations for their entrant of choice once per day throughout the contest.

Businesses and individuals are also encouraged to nominate themselves in the subcategories of their choosing.

After the nomination phase is completed, the top five nominees in each subcategory will advance to the voting round.

The voting phase will begin at midnight on April 1 and run through until April 19.

The contest winners will be announced in the special “Thank You Voters” special newspaper insert in a June edition of The News of San Patricio, The Ingleside Index and The Aransas Pass Progress.
