Fire at storage facility on South Parker Road under investigation
Teams with Colorado's South Metro Fire Rescue are investigating a fire that caused significant damage over the weekend at a storage unit facility in Arapahoe County. It happened on Sunday night on South Parker Road at Public Storage.Firefighters said the fire started in the attic. After crews arrived they had to cut into nearly 50 units. Some of those units may have additional smoke damage. There were no reports of any injuries.

South Parker Road closed in Aurora for crash that hospitalized one
South Parker Road is closed in both directions in Arapahoe County for a crash that sent a person to the hospital with serious injuries, according to South Metro Fire Rescue. South Metro Fire Rescue crews responded to a serious crash near South Parker Road and Emporia Street around 12:11 p.m. that brought power lines down in the intersection, the agency said in a post on X. The officials said one person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. While that agency’s X post did not specify who was injured, a post from the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Department stated a motorcyclist was injured.
