Houska Automotive Employee Forest Lathrop to Compete for Team USA
Forest Lathrop, a shop foreman, lead tech, and manager at Houska Automotive, has been selected to represent the USA Shooting Team in the International Practical Shooting Confederation’s Rifle World Shoot in Oulu, Finland from August 4 – 9, 2024. Originally from Hammond, Louisiana, Lathrop came to Colorado in 2004 and moved to Cheyenne in 2019. He has worked with Houska for 11 years, and “we are lucky to have him as part of our team,” said Houska Automotive Parts Manager Jennifer Houska.
12-foot sinkhole forms as pipe bursts, launching water 15 feet into air in Colorado
A pipe burst in Arapahoe County, causing a large sinkhole to form in the road. According to the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office, the 8-inch pipe burst underground in the 4300 block of E. Hinsdale Place. The resulting sinkhole was 12 feet wide, with water shooting 15 feet into the air in the residential neighborhood. The cause of the burst is unknown. The intersection of E. Hinsdale Pl. and S. Clermont Dr. was closed. Denver Water responded to the incident to put a temporary patch on the line, returning later for a more permanent repair.
