We say goodbye to the high heat Tuesday, but not storm chances in eastern Nebraska. There is a chance for a few spotty strong-to-severe storms during the evening. While there is a chance for a few spotty showers in the later morning and early afternoon, the chance for any strong to severe storms goes up mainly after 5 p.m. The Storm Prediction Center has most of central and eastern Nebraska in a "slight" risk area for severe storms. Though part of the Omaha metro is in this area, the better support for stronger storms will be west of Omaha, out toward Norfolk, Columbus and York.
