Three libraries saved from closure in St. Charles County
ST. CHARLES, Mo. – Three local libraries that once appeared at risk of closing in St. Charles County will remain open as officials have ended talks to close those branches. Last month, the St. Charles City-County Library Board of Trustees voted unanimously to indefinitely table a proposal that, if passed, would have led to the imminent closure of three counties libraries: McClay Library in St. Charles, Kisker Library near Weldon Springs, and Deer Run Library in O’Fallon.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) — Willy Agada scored the equalizer in the 73rd minute, lifting Sporting KC to a 1-1 draw with St. Louis. Agada scored with a header from the center of the box, finishing off a well-placed pass by Alan Pulido. Sporting’s Tim Melia made a big save in the 86th minute and St. Louis was limited to three shots on goal to Kansas City’s six. Roman Bürki made five saves for St. Louis. KCPD: Motorcyclist dies after crash with a car
KANSAS CITY—One person died in an accident just before 6p.m. Friday in Kansas City. A motorcycle was westbound on Parvin Road, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino, A car was eastbound and turning left onto Belmont Ave when the motorcycle struck the passenger front fender. The motorcyclist was ejected and transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased, according to DiMartino.
