KCPD: Motorcyclist dies after crash with a car
KANSAS CITY—One person died in an accident just before 6p.m. Friday in Kansas City. A motorcycle was westbound on Parvin Road, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino, A car was eastbound and turning left onto Belmont Ave when the motorcycle struck the passenger front fender. The motorcyclist was ejected and transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased, according to DiMartino.
Governor candidate Eigel campaigns in Lebanon
Bill Eigel, a candidate for governor, made a campaign stop in Lebanon Friday morning. Eigel spoke to supporters at Cafe’ Judes in Downtown Lebanon. He fielded questions about how he would deal with illegal immigrant, state support for veterans and education. Eigel is seeking the Republican nomination in the Aug. 6 primary election. The other major candidates include Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe and Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft. Eigel is currently a state senator serving the 23rd district and lives in Weldon Spring. Braves hit four homers but can’t defeat devil magic in 9-5 loss to Cardinals
So many things happened in the Braves’ 9-5 nightcap loss to the Cardinals on Saturday that it feels like the game wasn’t nine innings played over two-and-a-half hours, but maybe an entire geochronologic era.
