It is a Summer ritual, heading to the Drive-In for a movie. This year many local drive-in theatres are doing special events and showing some classic films. The writers and actors strike last year resulted in fewer films being released which meant theatres have had to get a bit creative when it comes to keeping the movies fresh each week for Moviegoers.

A new musical, Lifeline, the story of Scottish scientist Alexander Fleming’s world-changing discovery of penicillin in 1928, will play at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at the Pershing Square Signature Center, with previews starting August 28 and opening night on September 4. Lifeline is written by Becky Hope-Palmer with music and lyrics by Robin Hiley and direction by Alex Howarth.
