Illinois man, ejected from tractor, dies in Arena

ARENA, Wis. -- An Illinois man died Friday afternoon after being ejected from a tractor he was operating in rural Arena, Iowa County Sheriff Michael Peterson said.

The Iowa County 911 Center received a report just after 1 p.m. Friday about a possibly dead man next to a tractor along Amacher Hollow Road in the Town of Arena.

An investigation found that Anthony Massuci, 81, of Marengo, Ill., was maintaining trails on private property when he lost control of the tractor he was using and was ejected. He died at the scene from his injuries.

The Wisconsin State Patrol and Arena Fire and EMS assisted at the scene.
