South Dakota boys tennis: Sioux Falls Christian captures Class A state championship

Sioux Falls Christian held on to their lead from day one to win their second Class A state tennis title by only 12.5 points over runner-up Rapid City Christian.

The Chargers scored 540.5 points total. Sioux Falls Christian was upset a few times in the singles and doubles flights, winning five of their nine finals appearances. But Sioux Falls Christian earned just enough points to separate from the Comets, who had players in nearly every final against the Chargers.

Aberdeen Roncalli finished third, staying ahead of fourth-place Huron. Sioux Falls Christian won the most singles flights Tuesday, winning the state championship in flights one, two, five and six.
