    Annual Sidewalk Arts Festival is this weekend

    The Washington Pavilion’s 61 st annual Sidewalk Arts Festival is this weekend, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday downtown. Here’s what you need to know:

    • The festival will fill Main and Dakota avenues between 10 th and 13 th streets. Road closures begin at midnight on Friday night.
    • The free event will feature over 260 vendors this year—their highest participation yet.
    • Vendors will include food, art, clothing, paintings, kitchenware, vintage and modern décor, landscape art, face paintings, and other from return vendors as well as many newcomers.
    • Entertainment includes live music in the Pavilion’s Paladino Hohm Sculpture Garden from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., including performances by Brady Wrede, Carey Hofer and Bill Gibson, Janice Gilbert, Jordan Jaacks and a visit from Radley Rex from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
    • There’s a beer garden.
    • Temperature should be a lovely 70 degrees and sunny.
    • The Pavilion anticipates around 25,000 guests to show up.
    • Pets allowed.
