We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds today with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible this afternoon and evening as a cold front approaches. Thunderstorms could produce heavy rainfall and gusty winds. Temperatures top off near or a bit above 80° along the coast and mid-80s to possibly some low 90s inland. With dew points expected to be in the upper 60s to low 70s... heat index values are expected to reach the mid to possibly upper 90s away from the coast so our FIRST ALERT remains in effect for today due to the extreme heat.
