RAW VIDEO: Minnesota Storm Damage
The Weather Channel's raw video of various locations of storm damage. It includes trees and power lines down all over Cottage Grove, MN from storms Thursday evening. Power was out in many places. Also, storm damage in Wilson, WI as a tornado-warned storm moved through the area. At the home of Jean Jirasek there were 9 trees taken down, an out building lost it's roof and some roof damage to the main home. Then, in Gaylord, MN drone footage timelapse of shelf cloud in Gaylord. The Weather Channel says that this storm was severe warned at the time and then moved on into the Minneapolis area. MINNEAPOLIS — Statewide test scores are in, and they are showing many Minnesota students are not making the grade.New data from the Minnesota Department of Education shows reading and math test scores remain well below pre-pandemic numbers.In 2024, 45.5% of students were proficient in math, with 49.9% proficient in reading.Five years ago in 2019, 55% of students were proficient in math and 59.2% in reading. West Nile virus kills 2 in Wisconsin; Cases on the rise in Minnesota
MINNEAPOLIS — There is a rise in West Nile virus cases in our region.It's killed two people in Wisconsin and sent another to the hospital. In addition, three people in Minnesota recently tested positive for the virus. West Nile is transmitted by mosquitoes and late summer is when cases peak.
