A local restaurant has plans to serve free breakfast tacos in Rosslyn next week for National Taco Day.

District Taco says it will park its original taco truck at the intersection of Wilson Blvd and N. Lynn Street at 8 a.m. next Friday, Oct. 4. The Arlington-founded company will serve one taco per customer while supplies last — most likely until 10 a.m., the restaurant predicts.

The tacos will come in bacon, chorizo and vegetarian varieties alongside fresh salsa.

District Taco began in 2009 as a taco cart frequently visiting Rosslyn and Crystal City. The restaurant now has 17 brick-and-mortar locations across D.C., Northern Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

CEO Osiris Hoil will operate the truck during Friday’s event.

More info on the promotion, from a PR rep, is below.

Taco Bell just changed National Taco Day to October 1st, but locally founded District Taco is celebrating National Taco Day on October 4th. CEO Osiris Hoil will be taking out their original taco truck back out on the streets in honor of the holiday and giving away Free Breakfast Tacos. I have included some details below.

    • What: Free Breakfast tacos (variety of flavors: bacon, chorizo, vegetarian; plus fresh salsas)
    • Details: 1 per person while supplies last
    • Date: Friday, October 4, 2024
    • Location: Wilson Boulevard at N Lynn Street (near 17th St N) in Rosslyn, Arlington, VA 22209
    • Time: Beginning at 8am until out of tacos (we plan on being there until at least 10am)
