    Event spotlighting startups and tech happening in Crystal City tomorrow

    One day of D.C. Startup and Tech Week is taking place in Crystal City tomorrow (Tuesday).

    Kicking off at 10 a.m. at the National Landing Experience Center at 241 18th Street S., the full day of programming will cover topics including AI and business, Web3 and blockchain, and climate and sustainability.

    “Hosting a day of this widely known conference in National Landing highlights the innovation and collaboration that is happening in Arlington while making the content easily accessible to Arlington startups,” Arlington Economic Development said in a press release .

    This will be the first “festival-like day” D.C. Startup and Tech Week has hosted, with different parts of the day happening at Alamo Drafthouse, Zebox CoWorking and a conference center at 251 18th Street S.

    “We are very excited for the happy hour celebration to be at the Water Park ,” event director Rachel Koretsky told ARLnow. “We have a great lineup of speakers throughout the day that showcase the founders and investors in Arlington and across the region.”

    Programming for the day include the early stage track, growth stage track, and emerging tech and AI track.

    “Our team is thrilled to welcome hundreds of the region’s creatives and entrepreneurs to the National Landing area, which is rapidly emerging as a major innovation district,”  said Tracy Sayegh Gabriel, president of the National Landing Business Improvement District. “[D.C. Startup and Tech Week] participants will get a window into National Landing’s investments in digital infrastructure, neighborhood amenities and new development.”

    “With Arlington’s strengths in defense tech and cybersecurity, we are particularly excited for the AI track programming given the growth potential in that realm,” she added.

    This event is the largest gathering of entrepreneurs and startups in the DC area, featuring over 100 workshops, networking sessions, pitch competitions and expert-led discussions. Along with funding from a group of National Landing partners, AED is sponsoring this event with Arlington Innovation Fund Tech Ecosystem Support Funds.     Day Two in Arlington will kick off at the JBG SMITH National Landing Experience Center. There, participants will hear founder stories and fireside chats. Later content tracks will focus on a variety of topics including:

    • Web3 and Blockchain
    • Climate and Sustainability

    The day will conclude with a meetup happy hour at National Landing’s Water Bar.
