Charles City schools are moving to the North Central Conference
CHARLES CITY, Iowa – The Charles City Community School District says it is joining the North Central Conference (NCC). Charles City says it will be a non-voting member of the conference for the 2025-26 and 2026-27 school years and this move comes following a mediation process facilitated by the Iowa Department of Education, the Iowa High School Athletic Association, and the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.
Infrastructure projects moving ahead in Parkersburg
A couple of project updates from Parkersburg. First, the water tower rehabilitation project will start sometime in August. The tower will need to be completely drained to perform the work, and a change order will probably be needed to cover the additional cost to keep the water pressure maintained using portable tanks being brought in to provide storage capacity.
